Craig is an Internet entrepreneur best known for founding San Francisco-based website craigslist and shaking up the classified advertising business.
As a senior Web-oriented software engineer, with around twenty-five years of experience (including 18 years at IBM), he has become a leader in online community by virtue of running www.craigslist.org for over 9 years. He's compiled extensive experience evangelizing, leading and building, including work at Bank of America and Charles Schwab.
In 1995, he started craigslist which serves as a non-commercial community bulletin board with classifieds and discussion forums. Using a common sense, down-to-earth approach, craigslist strives to make the 'net more personal and authentic, while advocating social responsibility through the promotion of small, non-profit organizations.

As editor of Popular Science, a leading source of science and technology news, Mark Jannot will be serving as a keynote for Cyberposium 14. For over 100 years, Popular Science has been reporting on the latest technology and sharing thoughts about the future. Mark will be sharing some of the predictions they got right and wrong. In addition, as leader of a magazine with a readership of 1.1 million, he will discuss the future of print magazines and electronic distribution.
Jannot joined the magazine in January 2003 as deputy editor. He has worked for National Geographic Adventure, has been deputy editor of Men's Journal, and has written for Details, Men's Health, Outside, and Parenting. Mark received his BS and MS degrees from Northwestern University.
